Interview
Multinational K-pop girl group X:IN is well-known for their diverse representation within the industry. The five-member act under BeBy Entertainment has seen its international fandom grow rapidly in recent years. Members E.sha, Nova, Nizz, Hannah, and Aria celebrated their third anniversary on April 11, 2026, reflecting on their journey and continued growth as artists.
As they enter their third year, the group is in the midst of preparations for their upcoming “READ ROAD” tour, announced on April 25, 2026, which will begin with three scheduled dates in Russia.
In this exclusive interview, I was given the opportunity to talk with X:IN about their growth as artists, personal hobbies, and future plans, including their upcoming performance at the AntaraLand Festival in Malaysia on May 1, 2026.
Over the past three years, what is one moment as a group that made you realize, “We’ve really grown”
The first time I really felt that way was at our solo concert, when the venue was completely filled with READY. It honestly didn’t feel real. After that, with every comeback, I started to notice that we felt more relaxed on stage and were able to truly enjoy performing. That’s when I realized, “Wow, we’ve really grown a lot. - E.sha
If you could describe X:IN’s team chemistry in one word, what would it be and why?
Even though we all have different nationalities and speak different languages, coming together as one team has made us feel like a true family. So I think the word “One” best describes our teamwork. - Nizz
Since it’s your 3rd anniversary, what message would you like to share with fans who have supported you since debut?
Thank you for always being by our side and supporting us since our debut. Because of READY’s unconditional love, I feel like X:IN can continue to grow and move forward. We’ll work hard to show you our best sides and not disappoint you, so please stay with us throughout our journey. We love you so much 🤍- Nizz
As you continue your journey, what kind of message do you want your music to leave with listeners?
I hope that our music resonates with our diverse, international audience and listeners. We often incorporate our personal stories into our lyrics, which makes our songs feel especially authentic, and I hope we can continue to connect with even more people around the world. - Nova
Looking ahead to the next comeback, is there a concept or genre you haven’t tried yet that you’re excited to explore?
Personally, I’d love to try dark pop, or on the complete opposite end, a dreamy and ethereal genre. - Hannah
What do you think is X:IN’s biggest strength as a group right now?
I think as of now, our biggest strength as a team is how involved we are in our work. Our drive to push forward and grow is just as strong as it was on day one, even though we’re now in our third year and no longer considered rookies. If anything, our thirst for growth only becomes stronger the more we work as artists. - Aria
For new fans who are just discovering X:IN, what performance or song would you recommend they watch first?
I’d recommend my personal favorites from our new album Hyper. First of all, the title track Dazzle Flash. Since it’s the title song, I suggest starting with it, especially with the spectacular music video. Among the B-sides, I’d highlight Who Dat. I personally really enjoy the fierce hip-hop vibe of this song and definitely recommend checking out the performance. The choreography won’t leave anyone indifferent. It shows a more powerful and aggressive side of us. - Nova
What kind of memories do you hope to create with fans in the next year?
First of all, I hope we’ll have more opportunities to meet READY more often. I’d love to prepare special stages that READY wants to see and try various types of content that we can enjoy together. Most of all, I want us to create many special memories with READY that will last for a long time. - Hannah
E.sha, you mentioned that in your free time you enjoy knitting. Is there a knitting project you’ve worked on that was your favorite, and what made it special to you?
My favorite item was probably the earmuffs I made. In winter, your ears get cold, so I made something that covers the ears like a headband. Scarves are pretty basic, so I wanted to try making something new. It was my first time, so I wasn't very skilled, but it turned out pretty decent, and I remember being really satisfied with it haha. - E.sha
Since it’s X:IN’s 3rd anniversary, as you look ahead to the next year together, what goals do you hope to achieve, and how would you like new and potential fans to see you as you continue to grow?
The goal is always to improve, deliver better music and performances to our fans and listeners, and grow both as artists and as individuals. We are still young and learning, so within the next year, I’d love for us to experiment a lot, take on various challenges, constantly discover new things, and continue building the true style of X:IN. I believe that when we genuinely and consistently strive for growth, achievements will follow. I hope fans see us as grounded and genuine individuals, and as a team that is constantly growing and always delivering captivating performances. - Aria
E.sha previously mentioned that the song “Single Ladies” by Beyoncé makes her feel confident. I’m curious about Aria, Hannah, Nizz, and Nova, is there a song that makes each of you feel confident?
When I listen to TWICE’s “Feel Special,” it reminds me of READY’s hearts and makes me feel like I’m a precious person, which gives me confidence. - Nizz
For me, it’s “Pretty Ugly” by Zara Larsson. - Nova
For me, it’s “Star Walkin’” by Lil Nas X and“Legends Never Die” by Against The Current. - Hannah
I think XG’s “GRL GVNG” really boosts my confidence and makes me want to show a bolder and stronger side of myself. The empowering lyrics and powerful bass instantly lift my mood. - Aria
E.sha, you’ve shared that you enjoy photography. Is there a place you would love to photograph in the future, and out of the places you’ve already photographed, which one has been your favorite?
I really want to travel around the world and take photos at iconic landmarks in each country, like the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. I love traveling, and I want to challenge myself to collect those memories like a collection. Among the places I’ve visited so far, Switzerland left the strongest impression on me. It was so unrealistically beautiful that when I look at the photos, it almost feels like I was photoshopped into the background. Looking back, I wish I had taken more time to appreciate it with my own eyes. - E.sha
As a group, your last comeback was in February with “Dazzle Flash.” Are you currently working on anything new, and if not, is there a particular style or concept you’d like to explore as a group in the future?
We have a performance in Malaysia and READY ROAD coming up. We’re preparing many activities where we can meet READY, so please look forward to them. - Nizz
As a group, X:IN is very multilingual. Was it challenging learning several languages, what kept you motivated, and if you could choose another language to learn, which one would it be?
Being around foreign members definitely helps me improve naturally. Since we have many international fans, I try to focus more on English so I can communicate better during fan sign events or video calls. That really motivates me. If there’s something I wanted to say during a video call but didn’t know how to express in English, I ask the members right after it ends. Recently, I’ve been studying Japanese along with English because we have upcoming schedules. I just started, but I’m working hard so I can communicate directly with our Japanese READY as well. - E.sha
At first, learning Korean was very difficult for me because I didn’t speak it at all when I first arrived in Korea. It was hard to adapt, and I felt a lot of pressure because my lack of language skills made it difficult to understand what was expected of me and to carry out tasks properly. Over time, I overcame it. Before debut, my biggest motivation was my desire to do my job well, give 100%, and handle every task responsibly. After debut, another motivation appeared — being able to communicate with our fans in Korea. If I could learn another language, I would probably choose Chinese since we have many fans there. I often meet them during fan calls, and I’d love to communicate with them more freely. - Nova
X:IN's "READY ROAD" TOUR kicks off in October, with three dates across Russia, with additional dates to be announced at a later date. Keep up with X:IN on all platforms, Instagram, X(Twitter), TikTok, and YouTube.
