A detailed research on my Spotify listening habits over the past years
I had the opportunity to download my Spotify data and conduct research on my listening habits over the years while using the platform. I found that in 2023, the Jonas Brothers were my most listened-to artist, with my top song being Vacation Eyes by the Jonas Brothers. This made sense since that was the year I got to see them live.
2024 was my most active year on Spotify, with a total of 125,081 minutes (that’s 2,084 hours!). My most listened-to song in 2024 was Back Seat by JYJ, with over 3,000 plays. My top artist of the year was Jonghyun, and I was in the top 0.01% of his listeners.
One thing that shocked me was that my most active listening hour in 2024 was 4 a.m. January 18th was my most listened-to day, with 1,923 minutes of music played. To conclude, I listened to 1,334 unique artists in 2024.
